Weapon Classes in Infinity Blade 2: Heavy

In the final post of our Infinity Blade 2 Weapon Class Series we’re going to cover the “Heavy” class.

Infinity Blade 2 Siris vs WretchThe Heavy class in Infinity Blade 2 consists of large and powerful weapons, such as a battle axe or mace. The main advantage of the heavy weapons as they deal a TON of damage to opponents. One swing from a heavy weapon can leave the boss devastated.

There are two limitations to using the heavy class. First, you will swing slower so the heavy class is best used on a slower or lumbering enemy. Secondly, you will be unable to dodge, but you will instead be able to block directionally. If you read the attacks correctly, you can block every attack that may come while wielding a heavy weapon and take advantage of the increased damage with every blow.

If you manage to attack twice from the same direction, you will go into “directional attack mode” and you will be shown where to swing. Do it perfectly to score ultra mega damage!

For more information about the gameplay and weapon classes in Infinity Blade 2, check out this video with ChAIR’s Senior Producer Simon Hurley and Creative Director Donald Mustard.

Amazing God King Papercraft

We are having a great time browsing through the amazing artwork by the Epic Gamers deviantART group. The group has twenty talented members and is adding more every day. If you’re a member of deviantART, be sure to sign up for the group!

Infinity Blade God King PapercraftAn amazing piece really caught our eye last week. The God King Papercraft was created by deviantARTist, lubre53. Lubre took the time to answer a few questions for us about the model’s production.

F: What made you decide to create the God King?

L: This had to be something I was going to papercraft. I plan to do more Infinity Blade characters in the future, but The God King was definitely the coolest looking character of all of them. I would love to see an Infinity Blade movie using same characters, story and setting.

F: How long have you been playing Infinity Blade?

L: I started playing Infinity Blade about a year ago and thought the characters in the game were fantastic, not to mention being able to play a game like that on an iPad was incredible. I mean the video, the speed, the textures, etc., it is still better than anything else out there. Infinity Blade was not something I excelled at but I played just to see the visuals.

F: You mentioned there were 342 pieces of paper to put together, how much ink did you use? How much glue?

Infinity Blade God King PapercraftL: There were 60 A4 pages with 342 pieces and 3600 tabs to glue together, about $60 worth of printer ink and 200ml glue.

Flak: You said it took 2.45 months to make, how many hours a day did you work on it?

Lubre53: It’s hard to say how many hours I spent on the project, I just did it at night time in front of the TV. So, if I spent a couple of hours a night 5 nights a week and maybe a few extra hours on weekend. That makes about 100-150 hours spent editing, unfolding, printing, cutting, scoring and gluing.

Thank you so much for answering our questions Lubre and for sharing your awesome Papercraft model with us!
