Champion-ranked Duos can compete in the Weekly events in Chapter 2 - Season 2.
Top Duos each week will advance to the Season Finals. Consistency across the 4 weeks of competition also matters. Top performing Duos on the overall Series Leaderboad will be invited to fill out the remaining slots in the Season Finals.
The Finals on April 17-19 will determine the Chapter 2 - Season 2 Champions in each region and platform grouping.
This season of FNCS will be split into two seperate tracks. All PC Duos will compete against one another in one track, while all Console and Mobile Duos will compete against one another within the other track.
Reach Champion League in Arena mode to unlock this event. The weekly stages occur across three rounds - Round One (Opens), Round Two (Semi-Finals) and Round Three (Finals). The top Duos from Round Three in each region will advance to the Season Finals on April 17-19.
Duos will also accumulate Series Points based on each week's final placements tracked on the Series Leaderboard. Every week counts, as top performers on the Series Leaderboard will also qualify into the Season Finals.
Advance from a previous Series Weekly or be top ranked on the Series Leaderboard to be invited to this event. This tournament occurs across two rounds - Group Stages (top 200 Duos from OCE, ASIA, and ME region) and Grand Finals (top 48 teams per region). For Group Stage, all qualified Duos are seeded into a single session based on their finals standings on the Series Leaderboard. The top Duos from each session will advance to the Grand Finals.
Q: If I play with different teammates in different weeks, do my Series Points carry over?
A: No. Each team must consist of the same two players for Series Points to carry over. Each team of two players is unique, and holds Series Points based on that original team of two players. Changing any member of the team creates a new unique team, which begins at 0 Series Points.
Q: A team in my region has qualified in a previous week. The same team finished in the auto qualification spots on an additional week. Does that mean that the auto qualification spot goes to the next highest ranked team on that week’s leaderboard?
A: No. Prizes and Series Points are awarded to the already-qualified team based on final placement. However, the auto qualification spot for that week is removed, and instead added to the final count to be pulled from the Series Points Leaderboard at the end of the 4th week.
Q: When does the tournament start each week?
A: It depends based on server region. All start times will be listed within the Compete tab in game.
Q: How do Trades work?
A: This season of FNCS, trading amongst already qualified Teams is not permitted.
Q: I qualified with multiple different Teams. What are the rules for who plays in the Season Finals?
A: The first Team that meets the qualification criteria is the Team that is valid for the Season Finals. If a member of the qualified Team meets the criteria for qualifying again with any different player(s), this second qualification will not be valid. In order to make the second qualification valid, all two (2) players from the valid qualification must unanimously agree and request to disband their Team by contacting an Event Administrator, reachable via email at email@example.com before the deadline of Sunday, November 24th at 11:00 PM ET.
Q: I’m unable to queue for the event. Can you help?
A: Make sure all members of your team are ranked in Champion League, partied together, and have Two Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled. You can do so by following this guide: https://www.epicgames.com/fortnite/news/2fa
We’ve also seen that remaking the party with a different party leader fixes some rare occurrences where a team is unable to queue.
If the issue still persists, please reach out to our support team here: https://epicgames.helpshift.com/a/fortnite/?contact=1
Q: Is there any restriction on input method? For example, controller players with keyboard and mouse players?
A: No. Players can compete using controller on PC and keyboard and mouse on console.
