Celebrate MLK: TIME Studios Presents March Through Time in Fortnite
In anticipation of Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2022:
Players who experienced March Through Time for at least 20 minutes in a single visit before v19.01 have received The March Lobby Track, made in collaboration with Joshua Mosley.
Until August 30, 2022, at 9 AM ET, players are still able to receive this Lobby Track by experiencing March Through Time for at least 20 minutes in a single visit. The Island code for the experience is 1234-3815-8892. As we investigate issues with the "20 minutes" condition, players will receive the Lobby Track for logging into Fortnite.
“I Have a Dream.”
Celebrate the life and work of Nobel Peace Prize recipient Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in a new interactive experience presented by TIME Studios. Developed by members of the community in Fortnite Creative, March Through Time immerses players in the entirety of Dr. King’s monumental “I Have A Dream” speech and the history surrounding it.
Explore D.C. 63
March Through Time teleports players to D.C. 63, a reimagined Washington, DC. Built by GQuanoe, XWDFr, and YU7A, travel to the Lincoln Memorial and United States National Mall, where Dr. King gave his iconic 17-minute speech for Civil Rights. The experience extends with museum-inspired points of interest, and collaborative mini-game quests you complete with others. These activities progress players through the experience and bring to life important themes of Dr. King’s speech: we move forward when we work together.
Completing the challenges related to Dr. King and the Civil Rights movement will unlock a D.C. 63 spray for your Locker.
Inspired by the work of TIME and their partners -- JuVee Productions, Digital Domain, V.A.L.I.S.studio and Ryot -- March Through Time would not have been possible without the contributions of American Family Insurance, the DuSable Museum of African American History, and the Estate of Martin Luther King, Jr.
