    ninja build?

Can someone give me good ninja build?

    #2
How do you play? Do you like melee combat? Do you prefer ability-based combat? Standing around while husks come attack you? Which ninja abilities do you like most?
I have about 6 ninja builds planned, most of them very different from each other.

"Standing around while husks come attack you" - i think this is it. I need for recovering health and (shield?) when we fighting with sword. I don't know how to tell that. For good ninja "tank".

Alright, so two things before I get to my actual hero build:
-For survival, besides your normal F.O.R.T. stats, having your entire squad of hero and support heroes at the max level you can make them will contribute a lot to your health and shields, so that's important.
-Your sword can actually contribute a lot to your survival. Give it an Armor perk, and if you can spare a perk, Life Leech also, and that'll prevent and heal a good amount of damage.

        Onto the build:
Hero: Cloaked Shadow - Damaging aura during Shadow Stance
        • Team Perk options
          • Endless Shadow - Increased Shadow Stance time
        • Support heroes
          • Swordmaster Ken - Shadow Stance increases sword damage
          • Thunderstrike Mari - Damage nearby enemies when shields break
          • Alchemist Sarah - Smoke Bomb provides healing
          • Dim Mak Mari - Smoke Bomb cooldown reduction
          • Fleetfoot - Movement speed bonus
If you're interested in this, I suggest trying it with all heroes around 3 stars (rather than wasting a bunch of resources) in late Plankerton or early Canny. If you like it, then invest in evolving those heroes.

When Cloaked Shadow is in Shadow Stance from melee-killing an enemy, he gains an aura that damages enemies around him. Endless Shadow extends during of Shadow Stance, and therefore the aura to a max of 24 seconds, refreshed with every melee kill. Swordmaster Ken helps to get that first melee kill, though it depends a bit more on your sword. And since you'll be letting husks in close, it's inevitable that some bigger husk make it through to you, so Thunderstrike Mari is there as some backup damage in case you lose your shields, and Alchemist and Dim Mak are there for frequent healing if needed, while again providing backup damage. Fleetfoot is the backup to everything else, in case you just need to disengage. Also, the Adrenaline Rush and Sentry Turret gadgets are highly recommended for most builds, and using a sword with Affliction as its sixth perk will add even more damage output.

Another question: Do you have the Guardian's Will or Spectral Blade swords from the event store around a month ago? I have another build that I hope will be amazing will those. If you don't though, it doesn't really matter.

            Personally, I like having:
            llama ninja commander
            dim Mak team perk
            swordmaster ken
            skirmisher edge
            cloaked star
            whiteout fiona
            deadly blade scorpion

sometimes I switch Fiona for fleetfoot Ken for movement.

Fiona doesn't do much for your build unless you have a sword with high crit damage (or axe or scythe, but then that wastes Ken's perk instead).

Fleetfoot's usually a good option, but if you want a damage substitute, I'd suggest Shuriken Master Sarah (gives an extra star: a 25% damage increase), or one of the many Assassin ninjas (melee attacks stack up to 22.5% extra melee damage).

Okay, cool. Here's a heavy attack hero build for them then. I recommend one or two "heavy attack efficiency" perks on those swords as well.

Hero: Forged Fate - Increased Sword heavy attack efficiency
            • Team Perk options
              • Preemptive Strike - Damage increase against full-health enemies (Recommended)
              • Bio-Energy Source - Energy spent regenerates shields
            • Support heroes
              • Swordmaster Ken - Sword damage increased during Shadow Stance
              • Lotus Assassin Ken/Sarah - Melee hits increase melee damage
              • Whiteout Fiona - Increases edged weapon crit rating
              • Deadly Blade Crash - Melee crits cause Affliction
              • Anti-Cuddle Sarah - Melee kills restore energy
This build has pretty high one-shot potential on enemies, and critical hits deal Affliction, so you can quickly heavy-attack around to different enemies without worrying too much about leaving enemies alive behind you. I don't have Anti-Cuddle Sarah yet (from the event questline), but once I get her, I'll be able to dash around infinitely with Spectral Blade, as long as I hit an enemy nearly every time.
The Preemptive Strike team perk is recommended, because it's a huge boost to damage and one-shot potential, but Bio-Energy Source can be used if you're having trouble staying alive.

Also, my Spectral Blade has two heavy attack efficiency perks and a damage perk. Currently they're purple, and heavy attacks use around 6-7 energy each time, but when I can make them orange, I'm thinking it'll be more like 4 energy per heavy attack, so I'll be making almost double the energy back than I use (which leaves more room for using abilities).

I’m using legendary heavy attack effeciancy on my spectral blade as well. Plus forged fate in support so I can heavy attack enemies to death. Also with soaring mantis team perk you can fly across the map never touching the ground so long as you have the heavy attack perks running. This is my setup tho I’m sure it’s not the best I’m having fun with it. Powerful kunai and dragon slash. Plus the ability to fly lol

Try Fate as main, you'll use even less energy.
I'll have to try Soaring Mantis with my build on collection quests, but I'm definitely sticking with Preemptive Strike for combat missions.

Yeah soaring mantis isn’t a great combat perk. But in missions like repair the shelter, you fly around the map and find the modules pretty fast. Lacking in combat but adds to mobility. I think I will switch my commander for forged and play that for a while. My commander isn’t the best choice by any means. I was using lynx but was really missing the dragon slash so I switched

Hold that thought! I just read 8.01 patch notes and I guess flying with mantis leap and spectral blade was “unintended” and they took it away. Of all the bugs they could fix they take something truly fun and kill it. Ugh come on epic work on the things that matter. I really doubt flying across the map was a major issue that needed to be fixed

Ah, that's what they were talking about. I didn't expect to have more than 4 mantis leaps anyways, most of my distance would be from spectral blade (I have around 15 heavy attacks before running out of energy).
Building up about 4 tiles above everything, and using jumps occasionally to maintain height would probably be enough to get a fair distance across the map.

Personally i think the best ninja buils is

Commander: Swordmaster Ken 75% sword damage when in Shadow stance

Team perk: Endless Shadow - You need Bladestorm enforcer to unlock this perk

              Support:
Deadly blade Crash - each critical hit snares by 30% and damages enemies for 35% of the damage for 3 seconds
Dragon scorch - extends dragon slash to 3 tiles
Snuggle specialist Sarah - Dragon slash leaves an energy trail damaging enemies for 18 base health for 4 seconds
Lotus Assassin Ken - Assassination perk lots of other ninjas have it also
Infiltrator Ken - Increases smoke bomb radius by 48%

Use a 'Guardians Will' sword with a crit build, unstoppable

If you really like the spectral heavy attack like me, put a legendary heavy efficiency on it, and use anti snuggle Sarah and easy blade in support. Or easy blade as main but she doesn’t have dragon slash so that’s why I don’t use her as commander. Then heavy attack mobs to death. And if you have dim mak as your team perk you’re taking little to no damage while doing it.

Actually i like to play with either explosive assassin ken or kassandra lynx or overtaker hiro

But i play explosive assassin ken right now due to his increased 186% smoke bomb radius.
