  • New Trap Stairway Traps

Why should we have them ,well have you ever build a stairway to get out of an area and the zombie just walk upon it like they savages . My idea is we should have stairway traps like for example a Trap where if a zombie steps on the 2nd step the stairs turns into a slide and pushes them down another idea is if they step on the first step spikes come up and do damage to them please leave a respond and hopefully this can happen in game ????

Launcher traps would be fun too, skeet shooting husks. Lol

i "fedback" an idea for a "trapdoor" type trap. But on hindsight, it may be rather OP considering the AI will kill any husk(Taker excluded) if the husk falls into a "pit" that it has no way to exit from. This would mean they will need to up the ante for the AI to "problem solve" going around traps(which will render kill tunnels a waste) or find a way that doesn't break the game while ensuring "pit husks" are not "magically" rejoining their task force.

        1) Should be in feedback and 2) There are enough traps as is. Adding additional categories of traps would inevitably lead to people wanting a variety for them and inevitably lead to people complaining that they're not being used. From my experience people already complain if you don't have X trap or Y trap and spam them since they want to only put in token effort any time there is a defense or sometimes they'll just put a few traps down then idle the actual defense as if they already "did" their part. With that said there doesn't need to be traps for every structure. Ramps already have certain advantages in that Smashers run over them the trade off is that you can't put traps on them, if you could you'd pretty much reinforce the perception that you should only build pyramids which is ingrained in a lot of people's minds as is. You have an option since Halloween to build Tire Drop Traps which can use ramps or Wall Bounce and Floor Bounce traps can already be used in conjunction with ramps.

Husks dropped into a pit with no way out just die, you can cause that with Floor Bounce, Wall Bounce, or even your own knockback. Trap Door's theory really wouldn't be op'd if they were handled correctly since husks naturally won't go out of their way to go to the top of a structure they'd start breaking one of the stairways long before that to get at the objective the only issue is currently you have to do a little planning to throw husks in a pit so they don't overshoot the pit when you hit them with one of the knockback traps and a Trap Door would just be mindless deploy to do so.
