Having the same problem. I logged out and into my friends account and then it just kept lagging. I signed out and back into my account and every time I press launch it says, “Running,” and nothing happens. I fore quit and keep trying and still no response. It all started yesterday and this has been so frustrating for me. If epic games can do their job for once and respond to this topic oh lord would that be great

My game will not launch. I don't understand it was working fine then after I had dinner and launched the app it just keeps crashing. I have emailed Epic but they have not responded.
Can someone pleas help! I can see that this is happening at different times for different people so I guess its back to Minecraft hunger games for now. RIP

I've found a way that worked for my mac book pro latest update, I did what is called a soft reboot where u hold down the power button and shift at the same time you then load in it might be a bit glitchy click on epic games launcher and the do a normal restart/shutdown and hold the power button when u load in the second time click epic games and it should start up i had this problem for a week and now i have fixed it. hopefully this helps you guys aswell

The way to do this is
Go to applications ---> right click epic games and it should startup

I fixed it by opening Activity Monitor and killing all the Epic game processes still running.
