What do I do if I followed the instructions to get my progress to sync across my devices, but the sync did not occur as expected?
If you followed the sync instructions but your progress or content is still not showing correctly, identify your scenario below.
My Fortnite or Fall Guys progress disappeared after linking a console
Fortnite and Fall Guys progress is saved to your Epic Games account. Rocket League progress is saved to your external platform account.
For example, if your Fortnite progress is on Epic Account A but you link your console to Epic Account B instead, your console will show Epic Account B's Fortnite progress -not Account A's.
To restore access, unlink your console and relink it to the Epic Games account that holds your main Fortnite progress.
Tip: Before making any changes, sign in to each of your Epic Games accounts and check which one has your main progress. This helps you avoid linking to the wrong account.
My Rocket League progress or content is not syncing
Rocket League progress is saved to the external platform account you play on, not to your Epic Games account. To access it across platforms, the account where your Rocket League progress is saved must be linked to the same Epic Games account as your other platforms.
For example, if you play Rocket League on Nintendo Switch, your progress is saved to your Nintendo account. For that progress to appear on PC, your Nintendo account must be linked to the same Epic Games account you use in the Epic Games Launcher.
If you unlink the platform account where your Rocket League progress is saved, you will lose access to that content.
After relinking, launch Rocket League on every linked platform and reach the main menu. Progress and items only sync after you have launched the game on each platform.
Refer to Why am I missing inventory or progress across my accounts in Rocket League? for steps.
My PC progress and console progress did not combine when I linked my console
It is not possible to merge Fortnite progress from two different Epic Games accounts. When you link a console to an Epic Games account, the progress from that Epic Games account becomes the progress you see on the console - the console's previous progress does not transfer over.
For example, if you link your Xbox to the Epic Games account you use on your PC, your PC progress will now appear on your Xbox. Your previous Xbox progress will not move over.
Unlinking the console and relinking it to a different Epic Games account will also not move the progress - Fortnite progress stays with the Epic Games account it was built on.
If you want to keep both sets of progress separately, you will need to maintain two separate Epic Games accounts - one for PC and one for your console. Playing on one account will not affect the progress on the other.
Epic Games Support cannot merge progress between accounts.
