I don't receive two-factor authentication codes in my email
There are three reasons why you may not be receiving your two-factor authentication (2FA) code for your Epic Games account:
- You may have your primary 2FA method on your Epic Games account set to the authenticator APP or SMS
- Please check your phone for an SMS or ensure have downloaded and configured an authentication app for your Epic Games Account.
- See your enabled 2FA method here (Opens in a new tab).
- The email is in transit but is experiencing delays. Here are some tips if this is happening:
- Please allow a few minutes for the code to reach your email inbox. Usually, if there is an error in sending it is resolved within a few minutes.
- Search for the email in your inbox
- Check your spam folders.
Note: If you have marked the @support.epicgames.com, @accts.epicgames.com, @acct-auth.epicgames.com domain as spam or blocked the address, refer to your email service provider's support page for steps to unblock the address or unmark it as spam. - Whitelist support.epicgames.com. Refer to your ISP's support page for steps to whitelist an email domain.
- If you can't find the code in your spam folder, try refreshing your inbox after a few minutes.
- You don't have access to the email address that is currently on your Epic Games account. Please review How can I recover access to my Epic Games account?
