Why was my pre-purchase refunded?
If you receive a refund for your pre-purchase without requesting it, it might be (but not limited to) the following:
- The Game's planned release date was delayed by more than 30 days. You will receive a notification on your Epic Games account's email containing additional details about the new release date. In this case, our system will automatically refund your pre-purchase.
- The Game's delay is indefinite and the release date is unknown. The product's homepage (Game, DLC, App, etc.) release date will change to "Coming Soon" and you will receive a full automated refund for your pre-purchase.
If the Game's planned release date was delayed by less than 30 days, you will be notified of the new release date and given the opportunity to cancel the pre-purchase yourself.
You can view the planned release date on the game's tab in our Epic Games Store, under the Available section.
If you have any follow-up questions about refunds for purchases on the Epic Games Store, please review the Epic Games Store Refund Policy (Opens in a new tab) for more information.
