Why do you need my personal information to verify my identity?
If a player indicates they are a child, privacy laws may require a parent or guardian to provide permission for them to access an online game or service that collects personal information. To comply with these laws, we need to verify that the person providing consent for their child to access that service is in fact an adult.
Epic uses Kids Web Services (KWS), the leading parental consent and verification platform, for this service. KWS offers several ways to verify that you are an adult depending on which country you are in. The information provided is only used for verification purposes and is not saved.

Payment Card Verification (available globally outside of Russia and Belarus)
By collecting your payment card details and performing a successful monetary transaction, we will be able to verify your identity and confirm that you are an adult.
- If you are outside of the USA, no charge will be made to your card. Instead, a small amount will be temporarily authorised against your card and then automatically released. Consult the table below to see which amount applies in your country.
- If you reside within the USA, 50¢ (USD) will be charged to your payment card. This transaction will be refunded within 5-10 business days.

Social Security Number Verification (available only in the US)
Your full name, date of birth, full address, and last 4 digits of your SSN will be verified against a government database in order to confirm that you are an adult.
CPF Number Verification (available only in Brazil)
Your full name, date of birth, full address, and CPF number will be verified against a government database in order to confirm that you are an adult.
CURP Verification (available only in Mexico)
Your full name, date of birth, full address, and CURP ID number will be verified against a government database in order to confirm that you are an adult.
ID Scan Verification (available outside the US)
The front and back of your physical ID, or your passport, will be verified against a variety of trusted databases in order to confirm that you are an adult. For best results, we advise the use of a valid passport or driver's license, however, in some regions, we also accept government IDs and citizenship cards.
