Level up and evolve heroes, survivors, and defenders in Fortnite Save the World

You can level up and evolve your Heroes, Survivors, and Defenders to increase their power and effectiveness.
Note: As of v40.00, Hero XP and Survivor XP are combined into People XP.

Level up heroes, survivors, and defenders

1. Open the Command tab.
2. Select one of the following:
   • Heroes → Manage
   • Survivors → Manage
   • Defenders 
3. Select the character you want to upgrade.
4. Select Upgrade/Inspect.
5. Select Level Up.

Evolve heroes, survivors, and defenders

Once your Hero reaches level 10, you will have to evolve them before they can be leveled up again. 

1. Select your character.
2. Select Upgrade/Inspect.
3. Select View Evolution.
4. Complete the requirements shown on screen.

Note: Evolution may be locked until you progress further in Save the World.
