Why do I get the error "Please close WinIO before starting the game" when starting Fortnite?

WinIO is an unsigned kernel driver used to enable direct memory access. Since Fortnite doesn't support running while this driver is loaded, we suggest stopping it.

1. To stop WinIO driver from running, first open Command Prompt as administaror:

   1. Press the Windows Start button at the bottom left

   2. Type in "cmd" 

   3. Right click on Command Prompt and click Run as administrator

2. Type "sc query winio64" and press Enter

3. Type "sc stop winio64" and press Enter

4. Close the command prompt and start Fortnite
