How can I stop Stream Snipers while playing Fortnite?

If you Stream your gameplay and wish to prevent Stream Snipers from spoiling the experience, you can enable Streamer Mode settings that will allow you and other players to remain private in game:

  1. Open the game menu.
    • On PC/Mac, press Esc.
    • On PlayStation, press the Options button.
    • On Xbox, press the Menu button
    • On Switch, press the + button.
    • On Android, press the Menu button and then the Gear icon. 
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Go to ACCOUNT AND PRIVACY
  4. Scroll down to GAMEPLAY PRIVACY
  5. Toggle Hide Your Display Name From Stream Snipers ON to hide your display name
    Note: This feature is only intended to help streamers mitigate stream sniping, and some experiences will not allow you to hide your display name.
  6. Toggle Hide Other Display Names On Your Stream ON to hide other player's display name
  7. Toggle Hidden Matchmaking Delay ON to hide matchmaking status updates 
    Note: Enabling Hidden Matchmaking Delay will cause longer queue times
  8. Press APPLY to save the changes.
