I Can't Build in Fortnite on PC Using a Controller

  1. Launch Fortnite using the account where you're experiencing building issues. 
  2. Open Settings. 
  3. Click Mouse and Keyboard
  4. Scroll down to Lock Input Method as Mouse and switch to OFF.
