Why can't I use the Superman "Kal-el's cape" on the new Superman outfit?

The "Kal-El's Cape" glider was designed as an exclusive item specifically for the Clark Kent (Superman) outfit that was released in Chapter 2: Season 7.  Because it was tied to that particular version of the character, it's not compatible with other Superman outfits.
