Why is my friend still blocked in Fortnite after unblocking?

If you are playing on a console (PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo) and your friend appears to be blocked in Fortnite, which makes you unable to invite them, please make sure to unblock them on your Epic Games account following the instructions in the Block and unblock a friend in the Epic Games Launcher article.

If you confirmed that your friend is not blocked on your Epic Games account anymore, but they still appear to be blocked in-game, they are mostly likely blocked on your console account. Please follow the instructions for your console:
