How do I install Easy Anti-Cheat on my computer to play Rocket League?

Easy Anti-Cheat is now part of Rocket League on the Epic Games Store and Steam. While it can be disabled or enabled upon launch, it is still required to have it installed on your device. 
If you skipped this during the game installation or there was an error, you may need to reinstall EAC to play.

Please note that you may need to reinstall Rocket League on the same drive where your Windows OS is to avoid issues with registry or user permissions. 

Install EAC for the first time on a Windows 10 computer:

1. Ensure that the EAC launcher is closed.
   Note: If you are unsure if the launcher has been closed, restart your computer.  This will close any running programs or processes.

2. Launch Rocket League.

3. When the EAC install prompt comes up from Windows, click Yes. If EAC finishes the installation, there are no further steps for you to take.  You should now be able to play Rocket League.

4. If you don’t get a prompt, you’ll need to manually install it using these steps:

   1. If you installed Rocket League somewhere other than the default area, find the EasyAntiCheat_EOS folder in your Rocket League install directory where you installed the game. 
   2. If you installed to the default area, locate your EasyAntiCheat_EOS folder by following the steps below:
      • Open File Explorer. 
        Note: You can do this by searching for File Explorer in your search bar on the toolbar
      • Click on This PC on the left side of file explorer to show the list of drives 
      • Click on Local Disk (C:)  
      • Click the Program Files (x86) folder
      • Click the EasyAntiCheat_EOS folder 
   3. Find and run the EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe file.
   4. Select Create Shortcut. It may ask you if you want to create the shortcut on your desktop. Click Yes if this occurs.
      CAUTION: DO NOT just drag the icon to your desktop. If you do this, you may cause some issues with the install.
   5. Right-click the shortcut you just created and select Properties. 
   6. In the Target box, after the existing text, add the words "install e6bcca5b37d0457ca881aec508205542" without quotes. The text should show: "C:\Program Files\Epic "Games\rocketleague\Binaries\Win64\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat_EOS.exe" install e6bcca5b37d0457ca881aec508205542 
   7. Click Apply.
   8. Click OK.
   9. Double-click the shortcut. No window will open, but EasyAntiCheat will install itself.
   10. Start the Epic Games Launcher.
       Note: Run the game on Steam if you are a Steam player.
   11. Launch Rocket League.

      • Open File Explorer.

      • Then, click the rocketleague folder
      • Click the Binaries folder.
      • Click the Win64 folder. 
      • Click the EasyAntiCheat_EOS folder 
   3. Find and run EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe file.
   4. Select Show more options.
   5. Select Create Shortcut. It may ask you if you want to create the shortcut on your desktop. Click Yes if this occurs.

   10. Click OK.

   12. Start the Epic Games Launcher.

   13. Launch Rocket League.
