My Game won't launch with the Epic Game Launcher

If you are having trouble launching a game through the Epic Game Launcher, try following the steps that apply for your launcher version.

Generally, this will only work with publishers that have their own game launcher.

Legacy Epic Games Launcher

1. Launch the Legacy Epic Games Launcher.

2. Click the Settings icon in the upper right corner (located next to your Profile icon).

3. Click Settings.

4. Click the arrow icon next to the game that will not launch (you may need to scroll down).

5. Check the Additional Command Line box.

6. Type the following in the command line field: -skip_launcher

7. Click the arrow icon next to Settings in the top left corner to return to the store page.

8. Launch the game.

Epic Games Launcher Preview

1. Launch the Epic Games Launcher Preview.

2. Go to Library.

3. Access the more options menu for the game.

   • In Grid view:

     1. Hover over the game tile and click the 3 dots.

   • In Details view:

     1. Select the game from the left sidebar menu. The game information will appear on the right side.

     2. Click the 3 dots next to the Play button.

3. Select Manage.

4. In the Launch Options, activate the Additional command line arguments toggle.

5. Enter the following command line in the text field: -skip_launcher
