"Installation folder must begin with an alphabetic character" Error appears when installing

This error happens when the game folder starts with a non-alphabetical character and you attempt to change the installation path when installing on the Epic Games Launcher. To resolve this issue, try following the steps below to change the default installation path.

Change the default installation path

1. Follow the steps in the article How to change the default installation path for the Epic Games Launcher.
2. Exit the Epic Games Launcher and wait a few seconds. 
   • Note: Check your system tray on the bottom right to confirm the launcher has been fully exited.
3. Right-click the Epic Games Launcher and select “Run as Administrator” then navigate back to the Launcher's Library
4. Select the game that was experiencing issues and attempt installation.
   • The installation path should be showing the one previously selected in step 3 without the error message.
5. Select Install and the game should install properly.
