Why are all games in my library unavailable?

We've fixed an issue with the Epic Games Launcher where players were unable to update or install games, or where they saw it appeared blank. This is being rolled out now, and if your launcher still appears blank please follow these steps:

Windows:

  1. Make sure the Epic Games Launcher is completely closed.
  2. Create a shortcut on your desktop for the Epic Games Launcher.
    • Press the Windows Key.
    • Type Epic Games Launcher.
    • Select Open File location
    • Right-click on the launcher file and select Send to > Desktop (Create shortcut)
      • On Windows 11, select Show more options > Send to > Desktop (Create shortcut)
      • NOTE: You have to use a desktop shortcut; PowerShell commands do not work.
  3. Right-click on the shortcut and select Properties
    • If you’re on Windows 11, you’ve got to choose Show more options > Properties
  4. At the end of the Target box, outside of the quotation marks, add the following command:
    • -UseEOSSDKSocial=false
  5. Click OK and open the launcher using this shortcut.
  6. Go to your Library to check if you can access your games.

Mac:

  1. Make sure the Epic Games Launcher is completely closed.
  2. Open your Terminal.
  3. Assuming you installed the launcher to a default location, enter the following command into the Terminal:
    • % open /Applications/Epic\ Games\ Launcher.app --args -UseEOSSDKSocial=false
  4. This will open the Epic Games Launcher.
  5. Go to your Library to check if you can access your games.
