EAC driver error 1275 - Driver load error in Windows 11
Enabling Windows Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection may prevent some Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) games, including Fortnite and Rocket League, from launching or functioning correctly. You may receive a driver load error or Error 1275 when starting the game.
This happens because Easy Anti-Cheat requires kernel-level access to help detect cheating, and certain EAC drivers are currently incompatible with this Windows security feature.
To resolve this issue, you may need to disable “Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection” by following the steps in Microsoft’s article: Kernel Mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection (Opens in a new tab).
Caution: Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection was added in Windows 11 to help protect against memory attacks. Disabling this feature may reduce system security and increase your device's vulnerability to malicious software or unsafe files.
