LS-0026: Launch failed error in the Epic Games Launcher
We are aware of an issue related to the way the Epic Games Launcher opens a game and we are currently investigating an issue where you might see the LS-0026 error code when launching a game.
As a workaround, please start by running the Epic Games Launcher as administrator. Then continue with the other solutions listed below.
Run the Epic Games Launcher as an administrator
Make sure the Epic Games launcher is up to date and our servers are operational by checking the Epic Games Server Status (Opens in a new tab) page and run the launcher as administator.
- Exit the Epic Games Launcher by right-clicking on the system tray icon and clicking on Exit.
- Locate your Epic Games Launcher shortcut.
- Right-click on it.
- Click on Run as Administrator.
- Click on Yes on the pop-up that appears.
- Once the launcher finishes loading, try launching the game you're trying to play.
Verify game files
