MD-DL-0 error when installing games on the Epic Games Launcher

  1. Open the system tray in the lower-right corner of your screen, then click the up arrow.
  2. Right-click the Epic Games Launcher icon and click Exit.
  3. Once the Launcher is closed, find the Epic Games Launcher (EGL) installation folder
Note: The usual route is C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Config
  4. Find the DefaultEngine file and open it.
  5. Once in the file, search for the line "HttpTotalTimeout=30" and change the value from 30 to 500
Note: This will allow a higher timeout for the installation package to be downloaded, allowing the installation to proceed normally
  6. Save the file by replacing the file in the folder.
  7. Open the Epic Games Launcher and try installing the game again.
