"The folder path contains invalid character" error

Sometimes, this error can be caused by an issue with the temporary files or by a conflict with your CD/DVD drive's assigned letter. Try the following troubleshooting steps:
  1. Change the installation drive and folder to a different one.
  2. Delete everything from the TEMP folder.
    1. Press Windows Key + R to open the Run window. Type %temp% and press Enter.
    2. Select everything in the folder and delete. Skip files that are in use.
    3. Retry the installation.
  3. Change Drive Letters for your CD or DVD drives.
    • You can complete the process by following the Microsoft guide to Change a drive letter (Opens in a new tab).
Note: If you have multiple CD / DVD drives, repeat the steps for all of them. You can reassign the same letters later.
