"You haven't signed in on this account before" error when logging into Fortnite on console.

This error appears when your external account is not properly linked to your Epic Games account. Follow the steps below to diagnose and resolve it.

Step 1: Check your linked accounts

  1. Go to your Linked accounts page (Opens in a new tab) and sign in to your Epic Games account.
  2. Check whether your external account (PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo) appears in the list.

If your external account is not listed:
Your external account needs to be linked to your Epic Games account. Follow the steps for your platform:

If your external account is listed, but you still see the error:
You may be signed in to a different Epic Games account than the one your external account is linked to. Refer to Why does my external account say it was linked with another Epic Games account? to identify the correct account.

If your external account is linked to an account with no email or display name:
