How to refund a Web Shop purchase
To refund your purchase, click Transactions (Opens in a new tab) to start the process. Then follow the steps below:
- Find the order you would like to refund in your purchases.
- Click the downward arrow next to the purchase to expand it.
- Click on the Request refund option.
Note: If there is no Request refund option, the order is not eligible for a refund. For eligibility requirements, see the Epic Games Store Refund Policy (Opens in a new tab). - Select the reason for the refund in the pop-up window.
Note: By default, refunds are sent to the original payment method, but this may not always be possible depending on what payment method you used. Some regions also support the option to refund your account balance. See the Account Balance FAQ (Opens in a new tab) to know where the option is available, and see the Epic Games Account Balance Terms and Conditions (Opens in a new tab) for more details. - Click Confirm Refund.
Note: A confirmation notice appears at the bottom of your screen to show the refund is complete. Please contact your payment provider or bank for more information about when your refund will be available.
