I have encountered "Some features are locked until we received permission from your parent or guardian" error when trying to purchase a game.

When you're trying to make a purchase on the Epic Games Launcher you may be prompted with this error upon checkout and instructed to "Link an adult account".

If you are making the purchase for a child's account, make sure that your parent has completed the parental consent process for the account and has set up necessary permissions to make purchases.

  Note: In some regions, games have age restrictions which makes them only suitable for certain age groups.

If you are not making the purchase for a child's account, try adjusting the parental controls on your account: How can I change my Parental Controls Settings?

If you already have the highest preference enabled, try again on the Epic Games Store website using a web browser instead:

1. With a web browser, go to https://store.epicgames.com/ (Opens in a new tab)
2. Log in to your Epic Games account
3. Search for the game you're interested in
4. Complete the checkout process.
