Rock Band 4 calibration is off what can I do
If your game feels out of sync, you can recalibrate your audio and video settings from the main menu.
Go to Options > System Settings > Calibration to get started.
Calibrate automatically
- Select Calibrate Automatically.
- Supported controllers include Rock Band 4 guitar controllers and previous Rock Band Wireless Fender Stratocaster controllers.
- When prompted, hold your controller close to your TV or speakers where the sound is coming from. Do not touch the surface.
- For video calibration, hold the controller facing the TV screen, as close as possible without touching.
- Play a song in Quickplay to test the results. If it still feels off, repeat auto calibration or try manual calibration.
Calibrate manually
Select Calibrate Manually from the Calibration menu.
- Complete audio calibration:
- Press in time with the drum beat based on your instrument:
- Vocals (controller): press the S button
- Guitar: strum
- Drums: hit the green pad
- Press in time with the drum beat based on your instrument:
- Complete video calibration:
- Press in time when the needle reaches either side of the meter, using the same input as above.
- Test your settings in a song to confirm timing feels correct.
Enter calibration numbers manually
If calibration still feels off, you can enter values manually.
Select Enter Calibration Numbers and adjust gradually until timing feels right.
- LCD 1: Audio 80, Video 50
- LCD 2: Audio 15, Video 30
- CRT: Audio 0, Video 0
- DLP: Audio 15, Video 60
- Rear-projection: Audio 5, Video 50
- Plasma: Audio 50, Video 50
Note: Results may vary by setup. Adjust values in small increments for best accuracy.
