Connect multiple microphones on PlayStation 4 for Rock Band 4

You can connect up to three microphones on PlayStation 4 to use vocal harmonies in Rock Band 4. Each microphone must be assigned to a different profile.

Set up multiple microphones

  1. Plug in the first microphone.
  2. When prompted, assign it to your vocalist’s profile.
  3. Plug in the second microphone.
  4. Assign it to a different profile.
    • This can be another player’s profile or a profile without a controller.
  5. Plug in the third microphone.
  6. Assign it to another unique profile.

Note: If you assign a microphone to a profile that already has one, the original microphone will disconnect.

Profile and connection tips

  • Each microphone must stay linked to its assigned profile during gameplay.
  • If you log out or switch profiles, the microphone may disconnect.
  • If a microphone stops working, unplug it and reconnect it.

Using local or guest profiles

You do not need a PlayStation Network account to use multiple microphones.

  • Create local users directly on your PlayStation 4.
  • Use guest profiles for temporary sessions.

Guest profiles are removed after logout. For regular play, consider creating local users such as Mic2 and Mic3 for faster setup.
