Epic Games Launcher Early Preview Download Settings

This feature grants you control over your downloads and updates on PC and Mac.

Prioritize which game titles get updated first

1. Open the Epic Games Launcher.

2. Click on Downloads located at the bottom center of the launcher.

3. Click on the three dots of the game you wish to update first.

4. Select Manage.

5. Toggle Priority downloads.

Set download speed limits for fresh installs and updates

1. Open the Epis Games Launcher.

2. Click on the Epic Games icon on the top left corner.

3. Click on Settings.

4. Open the Downloads section.

5. Adjust the “Download speed limit” and/or “Active Download speed limit”.

Schedule updating time

1. Open the Epis Games Launcher.

2. Click on the Epic Games icon on the top left corner.

3. Click on Settings.

4. Open the Downloads section.

5. Toggle Scheduled downloads.

Set notifications for completed downloads

1. Open the Epis Games Launcher.

2. Click on the Epic Games icon on the top left corner.

3. Click on Settings.

4. Open the Notifications section.

5. Toggle Show notifications.

Drag and drop reordering of priority when downloading multiple titles

1. Open the Epic Games Launcher.

2. Click on Downloads located at the bottom center of the launcher.

3. Click and hold on a title, then drag it to a higher or lower position in the list.

Easily change the default installation directory

1. Open the Epis Games Launcher.

2. Click on the Epic Games icon on the top left corner.

3. Click on Settings.

4. Open the Downloads section.

5. Under the Default install location, insert the desired installation directory by clicking on Change.

Or you can manage it through the Downloads section.

1. Open the Epic Games Launcher.

2. Click on Downloads located at the bottom center of the launcher.

3. Scroll to the Storage section

4. Insert the desired installation directory.

5. Click on the Change button next to it.

See improved information about the current download status

1. Open the Epis Games Launcher.

2. Click on the Epic Games icon on the top left corner.

3. Click on Settings.

4. Open the Notifications section.

5. Toggle Show what's new after updates.

1. Open the Epic Games Launcher.

2. Click on Downloads located at the bottom center of the launcher.

3. You can see the current active or recent downloads and updates.

View a history of your downloads

1. Open the Epic Games Launcher.

2. Click on Downloads located at the bottom center of the launcher.

3. Scroll to the bottom, and you will be able to see the history of your downloads in the Recently completed section.
