How do I change the default installation path for my games on the Epic Games Launcher?

If you would like to change the default installation path for your games, follow the steps below depending on your launcher version:

Legacy Epic Games Launcher

1. Start your legacy Epic Games Launcher.

2. Open the Download Manager from the bottom left corner of the launcher.

3. Select Download Settings.

4. Under General, select Change to update the Default Install Directory.

Epic Games Launcher Preview

1. Start your Epic Games Launcher Preview.

2. Click the Downloads button located at the bottom center of the launcher.

3. Under Default install location, select Change to update the Default Install Directory.

   If you would like to change the installation path just for a specific game, you can click on the game tile in your library, click on the cogwheel icon next to the Install button and select a different install location.
