How to Manage Your Social Settings

You can control how other players can contact you on your Epic Games account.

To manage the social settings using the Launcher:

1. Open the Epic Games Launcher

2. Click on the Profile icon in the top right corner.

3. Click on the Profile icon again in the new pop-up window.

4. Click Communication settings to see the options.

5. Here, you have the option to:

   • Manage who you can text chat with:

     • Everybody

     • Friends, team members, and connections

     • Friends only

     • Off

   • Toggle Text reporting:

     • Always on

     • Off when possible

   • Manage who can add you as a friend: 

     • Anyone

     • Friends of your Friends

     • Nobody

   • Toggle Filter mature language.

   • Toggle Filter personal information.

   • Disable launcher notifications.

   • Accessibility options:

     • Toggle Read messages aloud.

     • Toggle Allow voice dictation.

To manage the social settings using the Mobile App:

1. Open the Epic Games Mobile App.

2. Tap on Social in the bottom menu.

3. Tap on the triple dots icon to expand the menu.

4. Tap Communication settings to see the options.

5. Here, you have the option to:

   • Manage who you can text chat.

   • Toggle Text reporting.

   • Manage Voice Chat.

   • Toggle Voice reporting.

   • Manage who can add you as a friend. 

   • Toggle Filter mature language.

   • Toggle Filter personal information.

   • Disable launcher notifications.

   • Accessibility options:

     • Toggle Read messages aloud.
