How does text chat work on Epic Games?

You can chat with friends in DM and group text chats. Your messages sync across Fortnite, the Epic Games Launcher, and the Epic Games Store and Epic Games mobile apps.

You can also chat with everyone in your Epic Party. Party text chat is available from the meatball menu and the Chats tab and in Fortnite from the compact text chat window.

Messages remain visible for 30 days wherever you’re logged in across your devices. Learn more about text chat in our Fortnite text chat blog post (Opens in a new tab) and the Epic Games Store blog post (Opens in a new tab).
