When will I receive my 1042 or 1099 tax form?

You will only receive a tax form for rewards from the previous year.  The tax form is based on the date your rewards were paid to you by Epic, not the date that the rewards were initially earned. Refer to Where can I find my tax form? to locate your tax form.

Delivery Schedule:

• For Esports competitors:
  • 1099-Misc for U.S residents: by end of January
  • Form 1042-S for residents outside the US: by March 15th
• For Support-A-Creator and Fortnite Developers:
  • 1099-NEC: by the end of January
  • There is no tax form for residents outside the US

For US residents: a tax form will only be sent to you if you earned rewards totaling over $600. You can refer to Where can I find my tax form? to navigate to your portal and locate the rewards given, and use that to complete any tax inquiries.
