Can I host a private Fortnite island server?

Island developers cannot host private map servers for their islands. All published Fortnite islands are hosted through Epic’s official servers.

To share an island with others, developers must publish their map through the Fortnite Creator Portal (Opens in a new tab). Once published, the island will be hosted on Fortnite’s servers and can be accessed using the island code.
