How to troubleshoot slow download speed on Epic Games Launcher
If you're experiencing download speeds that are slower than expected, try the following troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue:
- Check the Epic Games Status page (Åbnes i en ny fane) to verify that our servers are up and running
- Use a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi
- Try using a different internet connection (if applicable)
- Clear device cache. Refer to How do I clear or reset my device's cache?
- Make sure that the download speed limit is off. Refer to How do I turn off download speed limit in Epic Games Launcher?
- Make sure that all of the domains are whitelisted. Refer to Which domains need to be whitelisted to reach the Epic servers?
- Flush DNS following the steps in How do I flush my DNS on Windows to improve my connection to your servers?
- Switch to a public DNS following the steps in How do I switch to a public DNS to strengthen my connection?
- Disable any Proxy servers. Refer to How do I identify and disable a proxy server so I can connect to the Epic Games Servers?
