How can I check if it is really Epic Games contacting me?

Caution: Do not click links, download attachments, or share your password or sign-in codes until you confirm the email is from Epic Games. Epic Games will never ask you for your password.

If you receive an email that says it is from Epic Games, check the sender’s email domain to confirm it is ours.

The domain is the part after the @ symbol. It shows which organization sent the email.

Example: [email protected]
The domain is: @support.epicgames.com

Check that the sender’s email address comes from one of these domains:

  • @support.epicgames.com
  • @email.epicgames.com
  • @developers.epicgames.com
  • @mail.epicgames.com
  • @acct.epicgames.com
  • @accts.epicgames.com
  • @acct-auth.epicgames.com

If the email comes from a different domain, do not engage with it.
Note that the sender name (such as "Epic Games") can be faked and is not a reliable indicator. Always check the email domain instead.
