The Epic Games Launcher is automatically signing me in to the wrong Epic Games account when signing in with an external account

This happens when you've already signed into another external account on your default browser. To resolve this issue, follow the steps below.

Sign out of your external account via your default Internet browser

  1. Open your default Internet browser
  2. Visit the website of the external account you are using to sign in to your Epic Games account (Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Google, etc.)
  3. Sign out of your external account
    1. Try signing in again on the Epic Games Launcher with your preferred external account

    Clear your browser's data

    If you're still experiencing issues, clear your browser's cache and cookies.

    After clearing your browser data:

    1. Close and reopen your Internet browser
    2. Launch the Epic Games Launcher
    3. Try signing in again on the Epic Games Launcher with your preferred external account
