LS-0016: Game is unavailable

This error means the game servers or backend services are currently undergoing maintenance. This often happens during a season transition. Once maintenance is completed or the season transition is completed you should be able to launch the game without problems. If the problem persists try the steps below.

Wait and Restart the Epic Games Launcher

Waiting 10 to 15 minutes will allow the updates to patch again. Restarting the launcher refreshes the entitlements on your Epic Games account and may trigger a required game update.

Windows

1. Right-click on the system tray icon in the bottom right corner.
2. Click on Exit.
3. Wait 10 to 15 minutes.
4. Relaunch your Epic Games Launcher.

Mac

1. Press Control on the keyboard and click on the Epic Games Launcher icon.
2. Click on Quit.
3. Wait 10 to 15 minutes.
4. Relaunch your Epic Games Launcher.

Verify the game files

Verifying your game files ensures your game is installed and updated properly. To verify your game files:

1. Open the Epic Games Launcher.
2. Click Library.
3. Click the three dots or right-click on the tile of the game you want to verify.
4. Select Manage from the drop-down box.
5. Click Verify.

Depending on the size of the game, this process may take a while. Once it’s done, relaunch your game.
