TS-NC-0001: Epic Games Launcher Network Error
This error is usually related to a connection issue. Try the steps listed below to resolve this.
- Clear the Epic Games Launcher’s webcache
- Click the arrow icon (chevron) in the lower right corner of the screen.
- Right-click the Epic Games Launcher icon.
- Select Exit.
- Hold the Windows key.
- Press the R key.
This will open Run. - Copy this text: %localappdata%
- Paste the text into the Open field.
- Press the Enter key.
This will open File Explorer. - Double-click the EpicGamesLauncher folder.
- Double-click the Saved folder.
- Right-click the webcache folder.
- Select Delete.
- If there is a folder called webcache_4147, delete that as well.
- Close all windows.
- Restart your computer.
- Relaunch the Epic Games Launcher.
- Change the target text from the shortcut file.
- Open your hard drive where epic games launcher is installed which should be at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\Engine\Binaries\Win64
- Create a shortcut of EpicGames Launcher.exe on the desktop.
- Then, right-click properties on the shortcut and on target you should add the following:
-skipbuildpatchprereq -opengl -http=wininet
- Reset network adapter (Winsock)
- Click the arrow icon (chevron) in the lower right corner of the screen.
- Right-click the Epic Games Launcher icon.
- Select Exit.
- Click on Start.
- Type cmd .
- Press Enter.
- Type netsh winsock reset.
- Press Enter.
- Restart the Epic Games Launcher.
- Reinstall the Epic Games Launcher.
- On PC
- Click the arrow icon (chevron) in the lower right corner of the screen.
- Right-click the Epic Games Launcher icon.
- Select Exit.
- In the search bar in the lower-left corner of the screen type cmd.
- Right-click Command Prompt.
- Select Run as administrator.
- In the window that opens type: sfc /scannow
- Press the Enter key.
This may take a little while. - Restart your computer.
- In the search bar in the lower-left corner of the screen type: Add or Remove Programs
- Press the Enter key.
- Select Epic Games Launcher.
- Click Uninstall.
- Go to www.epicgames.com
- In the upper right-hand corner of the screen click the Download button.
- On MAC
Note: If your Launcher is freezing on macOS 10.15.1 or earlier, reinstalling the Launcher often fixes the issue. Please note that macOS 10.12 and earlier are no longer supported.- Close the Epic Games Launcher
- Verify there are no processes associated with the Epic Games Launcher by checking Activity Monitor.
- Open the Applications folder
- Click and drag the Epic Games Launcher application to the Trash
- Verify all the following directories no longer have any Epic Games Launcher folders or files:
- ~/Library/Application Support
- ~/Library/Caches
- ~/Library/Preferences
- ~/Library/Logs
- ~/Library/Cookies
- Go to www.epicgames.com
- Click the Download button in the top right corner to download the latest installer
- On PC
- Reset the Windows hosts file.
