How do I clear the Launcher cache on PC?

Clearing the cache can resolve display issues or errors that prevent the Epic Games Launcher or games from working correctly. Proceed based on the launcher version you're using.

Epic Games Launcher

On PC:

  1. In the lower right corner, click the arrow pointing up (the chevron)

  2. Right-click on the Epic Games icon 

  3. Select Exit

  4. Press Windows + R to open a run window

  5. Type %localappdata%

  6. Press Enter to open File Explorer

  7. Open the EpicGamesLauncher folder

  8. Open the Saved folder

  9. Delete the following folders (if they appear):

    • webcache

    • webcache_4147

    • webcache_4430

On Mac:

  1. Exit the Epic Games Launcher

  2. Open Finder

  3. Click on Go then Go to Folder...

  4. Type "~/Library/Caches/com.epicgames.EpicGamesLauncher" and press Enter

  5. Drag the webcache folder to the Trash

  6. Press Control and click Trash

  7. Click Empty Trash

  8. Relaunch the Epic Games Launcher

Epic Games Launcher Early Preview

  1. In the top left corner, click on the Epic Games Logo.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select About section.

  4. Under Cached data, click Clear and restart.
