How do I remove the FortniteGame folder from %localappdata%?
If Fortnite is constantly crashing when you try to launch it, you can try deleting the FortniteGame folder from the %localappdata% folder.
This process may reset your in-game settings. We recommend taking a screenshot of your settings before completing these steps so you can return your game settings afterward.
- Close Fortnite and the Epic Games Launcher.
- Hold the Windows Key.
- Tap the R key.
The run window will open. - In the Run field type: %localappdata%
- Right-click on the folder: FortniteGame
- Select Delete.
- Restart your computer.
- Right-click on Epic Games Launcher.
- Select Run as Administrator.
- Select Library in the left column.
- Find Fortnite.
- Click on the Meatball menu (3 horizontal dots).
- Select Manage.
- Select Verify.
- Launch Fortnite.
