How do I update my video card drivers to fix problems with Fortnite?

To play Fortnite, ensure that your computer has current video card drivers.

Drivers are the software that tell the hardware how to run. Out-of-date drivers may fail when telling a piece of hardware (like a video card) how to run a specific type of software (like Fortnite). making sure your video card drivers are up to date can solve many video problems.

If you are not sure what video card you have, create a DxDiag file using the instructions below. This file contains a lot of different information about your computer:

1. Hold the Windows key on your keyboard.
2. Tap the R key to open the Run window.
3. In the pop-up window, type: dxdiag
4. Press the Enter key
   The DirectX Diagnostic Tool will load.
   If there is a pop-up window asking about digital driver signing; click Yes to proceed.
5. Click the Save all information button
6. Click the Save button
   The file should be saved to your desktop as dxdiag.txt
7. Click the Exit button
8. Open the DxDiag file.
9. Scroll down to Display Devices.
10. Under card name you will see the name of your graphics card. Under manufacturer you will see the name of the company that made your graphics card.
11. Click the relevant link above to update your video driver.
