How do I view my network performance details in Fortnite?

If you’re experiencing connectivity issues, there may be an issue with your network. Network details within Fortnite can provide more information about this.

Be sure to check the Epic Games Server Status page to make sure all systems are operational. If the issue you’re experiencing is related to an outage or system-wide issue, you won’t be able to connect to the Epic Games Launcher or Fortnite until the outage or issue is resolved.

How to display your network details

  1. When you’re in the Fortnite lobby, click the menu in the top right corner.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Go to the Game UI tab.
  4. Change the Net Debug Stats to ON, and then click Apply at the bottom of your screen.

Note: You may see "Disabled" repeatedly in your network details. This doesn't impact your ability to play Fortnite, but you can stop it from appearing by setting Net Debug Stats to OFF and clicking Apply.

How to identify packet loss

Once you’re in a match, you’ll be able to see your network information in the top left corner of your screen. If you're having packet loss this will be indicated by red bars on the white line beneath your network stats.

No packet loss: A solid white line indicates no packet loss.

Packet loss: Red lines indicate packets that have been lost.

If you’re seeing packet loss, this indicates that there is a problem with your network connection and that you’re losing data between your connection and the server. You will need to reach out to your internet service provider (ISP) who can help you troubleshoot your network connection.
