How to fix the ESP-MAN-ARCHIVE error

If you receive the ESP-MAN-ARCHIVE error when launching Fortnite, try restarting Fortnite and your device. If it persists, try following these steps, depending on your platform:

PC

  1. Close Fortnite.
  2. Close the Epic Games Launcher
    1. Right-clicking the Epic Games Launcher system tray icon in the bottom right corner of your taskbar
    2. Select Exit
  3. Press the Windows + R on your keyboard. This will open the Run command window.
  4. Type %localappdata% and click OK. This will open File Explorer.
  5. Click the FortniteGame folder.
  6. Right click the Saved folder.
  7. Click Delete.
  8. Relaunch the Epic Games Launcher and restart Fortnite.

PlayStation

  1. Highlight Fortnite and press the Options button on your controller.
  2. Select Delete
  3. Click OK to confirm
  4. Reinstall Fortnite.

Xbox

  1. On the Home page, select My Games & Apps.
  2. Go to the Games tab and highlight Fortnite.
  3. Press the Menu button on your controller.
  4. Select Uninstall.
  5. Reinstall Fortnite.

Nintendo Switch

  1. Highlight Fortnite.
  2. Press the + button on your Joy-Con.
  3. Select Manage Software.
  4. Select Delete Software.
  5. Reinstall Fortnite
