ESP errors tend to be connection error codes. This can usually be fixed by clearing your console cache.
PlayStation 5
- Hold the PS button on your controller.
- Select the Power menu.
- Select Turn Off PS5.
- Wait until the PS5 power indicator light shuts off.
- Press and hold the power button on the console until you hear a second beep to enter Safe Mode.
This should take about 7 seconds. - Connect your controller to the console using the USB cable.
- Press the PS button.
- Navigate to the Clear Cache and Rebuild Database option using your controller.
- Select Clear System Software Cache.
- Select OK.
- Wait for the console to restart on its own.
- Start Fortnite.

PlayStation 4
- Turn off your Console (do not enter Rest Mode).
- Wait for the light on top of the console to stop blinking.
- Unplug the Power Cord from the back of the console.
- Wait 1-2 minutes.
- Plug the Power Cord back into the console.
- Turn the Console back on.
- Start Fortnite.

Xbox series S|X
- Turn off your Xbox Series S/X down and unplug it
- Unplug all accessories connected to the console.
- Leave the console unplugged for two minutes.
- Press the power button and hold it while the console is unplugged.
- Reconnect the power cord.
- Power on your Xbox Series S|X.
- Start Fortnite.
Xbox One
- Turn off your Xbox One.
- Once the indicator lights on the front of the Xbox One and the console's power brick are off
- Unplug the power brick from the back of your console.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Plug the power brick back into your Xbox One and turn it on.
- Start Fortnite.
Nintendo Switch
- Select the Home menu.
- Select System Settings.
- Select System.
- Select Formatting Options.
- Select Reset Cache.
- Select the User you want to clear cache and follow the instructions.
- Restart your Switch.
- Start Fortnite.
