How are benchmarks simulated in PC Building Simulator 2?

  • We don't simulate a full computer in PCBS 2 as we don't have access to circuit designs etc for all parts.
  • As a result we can't run actual simulated benchmarks in-game.
  • Instead we take data from real-world benchmark results and use them to create a statistical model for CPU, GPU and RAM components and settings. While not perfect, this gives a good approximation of real-world scores.
  • For Futuremark benchmarks, UL kindly supplies us with sample data.
  • For Cinebench, we work with data we gather from various online sources.
  • These data sets can never cover every PC configuration, therefore our benchmark scores in-game can differ from real life.
