What Are Matchmaking Bans in Rocket League?
Matchmaking Bans encourage players to stay in their matches. Players get a Matchmaking Ban when they leave a Competitive or Casual match early without forfeiting, or for being idle.
Competitive Playlists
If a player leaves a Competitive match, they will be given a warning. The 5-minute ban will apply automatically if they do not rejoin.
The system has 7 ban levels. The first ban is 5 minutes long. Leaving a match within the next 12 hours will result in another ban. Bans will get longer for each match left.

Got disconnected? No worries! Rocket League will re-invite you back into the match once your internet connection is back up.
