How Do I Report a Player in Rocket League?
Rocket League is for everyone! Positive gameplay is important and starts with you!
If you would like to report a player, you can do so with one of the following options:
While in a match:
- Open the menu
- Select Report/Block Player
- Find the player
- Select Report
- Select one or more of the following Reporting Reasons in the table below
After a match:
- Go to the Main Menu
- Open your Friends list
- Select the Recent Players tab
- Find the player
- Select their username
- Select Report Player
- Select one or more of the following options:
Reporting Reason | Definition |
---|---|
Text harassment | Offensive language in text chat |
Verbal harassment | Offensive language in voice chat |
Match throwing or griefing | Scoring own goals, intentionally disturbing teammate’s movements, smurfing, etc. |
Intentionally idle | Not moving or only moving slightly during a match |
XP farming | Any use of automated bots for the purpose of farming XP, Items, etc. |
Inappropriate player name | The player’s name is upsetting or offensive |
Inappropriate club name | The player’s club name is upsetting or offensive |
You can select more than one report reason. If a teammate is harassing you in team chat, and is also own-goaling, you can select both Text Harassment and Match Throwing or Griefing. When reporting a player for Text Harassment, press the Chat Log button to see chat lines from the reported player.
Psyonix has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to harassment of any kind. We will act on violations of the Code of Conduct (Opens in a new tab). This can include permanent game bans in the most extreme cases. When a chat or game ban is placed on an account, each additional violation will increase the length of the ban.
