What are Decals in Rocket League?

Decals are a vehicle customization in Rocket League. Like other cosmetics in Rocket League, these also have different rarities. You can unlock Decals by playing Rocket League and receiving progression drops or leveling up your Rocket Pass. You can also unlock Decals through Challenges, Trade-ins, or purchasing them from the Item Shop.

Once you own a complete Car Bundle, you’ll automatically receive new Decals for that Car Body when they're in the Item Shop. A complete Car Bundle means owning all cosmetic items from a Car Bundle. This means owning all included Decals and paint variants from a purchased Bundle. Please note that some Car Bodies have body-locked Decals that are locked to a specific car body and cannot be equipped to other car bodies.

For example, if you own the Jäger 619 Car Bundle in Rocket League, you’ll automatically receive other Jäger 619 Decals that come to the Item Shop in the future, if you don’t already own them. However, if you only own the Jäger 619 Car Body and some variants, you won’t receive Decals as they are added or featured in the Shop. You'll be able to complete a bundle by purchasing the remaining items for a reduced, pro-rated amount. Going forward, you’ll receive the Decals for the Car Body at no additional cost. Additionally, purchasing a new Car Body won’t unlock past Decals. It’s also important to remember that only some Decals will be cross-game and available in Fortnite.
